As participants run to the pile of various sized Alice's, they must use their critical thinking skills to choose the Alice that is "x" times larger than the small Alice they are holding.
Materials per team:
To do:
- Divide the group into equal teams of four or five adults and kids.
- You will need copies for each team of Alice at ½ size, 2, 3, and 4 times size.
- Each group gets a copy of Alice at regular size. The rest of the Alices need to be placed across the room.
- Give the first person in each team the Alice size 1x. Assign each person in line a different size Alice to find, e.g., "The first person in line needs to find an Alice that is 3 times bigger than the one he/she is holding. The second person needs to find the Alice that is half as big as the one he/she is holding."
- When you say "go" the first person retrieves the Alice he/she was assigned to get and as he/she returns, he/she gives the Alice size 1x to the next person and sits at the end of the line.
- The fastest team with all the correct Alices wins.
